My First Blog

Hi everyone,

This is my first every blog post!  I wanted to write a small bog to keep people up to speed with my business, my band life and everything in-between,  ‘so where do I start?’

Well first up I have to praise a couple of my students for taking their Drum Grade exams.  I’ve had one mark back and he got a Merit for his Grade 5 which I’m super stoked about.   Grade 5 is no pushover and take loads of energy and commitment to pass but the boy did it and I couldn’t praise him enough.  What makes both these drum exams special to me is both students have been with me from the start, so seeing them develop into real drummers is an amazing thing.

I have also witnessed two of my students play their first show in-front of an audience,   both crushed it beyond belief!   It took me back to my first show and how life changing it was. Hopefully this will have the same effect for them.

Next up…

My two peice rock and bluesy cover band is finally on the road. Me and Matt (singer/guitarist) spent a long time getting this project up and running due Covid and other band commitments but now we are killing it and gigging nearly every weekend since we launched.   Matt… I’m super proud of what we have done and this is only the beginning buddy.
